CVDAA Summer Program - 2013





Five Week Summer Theatre Performance Workshop

This will be our traditional theatre performance workshop with hour long academy style classes in the morning and then a
rehearsal for a work performed at the end of camp in the afternoon. Actors will participate in classes in acting,
improvisation, movement, voice for the actor as well as attend lecture demonstrations provided by professionals in the
area. The workshop is broken in to 2 groups, by age, typically 10 -13 and 14 and older. Each group takes class together
and then participates in their own rehearsal and performance. This is an intensive workshop with the expectation that
students are interested in continuing their theatrical training into high school, college and beyond.

Dates: June 17, 2013- July 19, 2013
Time: 9am – 3pm (8am drop off is available)

Our traditional summer program last year was enhanced with a program designed for the younger/beginning
student.  Due to the popularity of this program, we are again offering this option for summer, 2013:

Two Week Drama Camp

This is a 2 week, 9am – Noon, “academy-style” program where students are given classes in acting,
improvisation, movement and voice for the actor. This class is best for beginning actors that want to get a
taste of what is involved in learning and applying acting technique to performance. Actors learn how to
develop a character and analyze a script.  They play theatre games, develop movement skills and learn how to
perform an audition monologue as well as work on scenes intended to help them apply what they've learned.

Dates: June 17-June 28, 2013
Time: 9am – Noon
*Cost:$ 300.  ($275. if $25. deposit received by April 1)
